The Cruelty Of The Matter
It’s important to note that Will Thomas wasn’t a legendary swimmer. He was good but definitely not amazing in any regard. But now that his name is Lia, he dominates.
There is a reason why the WNBA and the NBA are two different things. If Lebron was allowed on the Women's league, every game he played would be unfair. There is a difference in athletic ability between the genders, and until now, people respected that. But like everything, there is a new victim in the mix, and therefore all of our social rules now have to change. But what transgender activists aren’t considering is the REAL victims Lia is now making.
Emma Weyant is a name you probably haven’t heard. She is the one who got second behind Lia. If it hadn’t been for him she would have won.
Or maybe Tylor Mathieu. Have you heard her name either? She was blocked from the championship final and therefore not eligible to be an All-American.
Reka Gyorgy was denied a spot in the consultation final because of Lia. In a letter to the NCAA, she wrote “I’m a 5th-year senior, I have been top 16 and top 8 before and I know how much of a privilege it is to make finals at a meet this big. This is my last college meet ever and I feel frustrated. It feels like that final spot was taken away from me because of the NCAA’s decision to let someone who is not a biological female compete.”
Lia’s selfish actions of competing in girl's events have created a chain reaction. So many girls' dreams and hopes were broken, but the only thing the left seems to care about is the feelings of poor Lia, not anyone else.
It seems quite silly. At random, Lia made this decision, and now the whole league has to respect it at the expense of themselves just to play into his fantasy. His exploits in the pool aren’t everything though. There are other issues with these actions.
A father of a swimmer has many complaints about the locker room situation.
“There was definitely a breach of trust and a failure on the part of Penn to protect her,” He said, referring to the fact that the girls were exposed to Lia’s penus whenever in the locker room. When concerns were raised, Penn state simply told the father to “get over it”.
Another swimmer said, “But we were basically told that we could not ostracize Lia by not having her in the locker room and that there’s nothing we can do about it, that we basically have to roll over and accept it, or we cannot use our own locker room.”.
I just don’t quite understand what's going through Lia’s head when he strips in front of them despite their discomfort. But even more so, why does the school tolerate it?
What’s Next?
If stuff like this is approved by the public, it will run rampant. That’s why it is our responsibility to stand against it to save women’s sports! Whether you're right, left, or something in between, we can all agree this is cruel and must be stopped.
