According to a Gallop poll, among the Gen Z adults, 21% identify as LGBTQ. This is double the amount of millennials. Transgenderism has undoubtedly grown exponentially since even twenty years ago. The Left attributes this sexual shift to increased acceptance. This however doesn’t quite make sense due to one statistic. The people who have grown the LGBTQ group so extensively generally “live” heterosexually. They claim they are LGBTQ, but still sleep with, date, and marry the opposite sex. This proves the rights claim that queer people only identify that way because it’s trendy. So they can gain pity. But in reality, this fake claim to identity is only driving people towards mental illness.
The Question
An undoubted fact is that LGBTQ members suffer from mental illness and depression much more than “cis” people. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), those who are LGBTQ are nearly three times more likely to develop a mental health disorder such as depression or anxiety. 60% of LGBTQ youth specifically, according to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, say they are so sad that their daily life activities have changed. LGBTQ depression is a bi-partisan fact. Not many deny it, but the reason why many face depression is what is under dispute. In fact, it encompasses the general LGBTQ debate at the moment. Not many are still arguing about the legality of LGBTQ, but rather the effects of running towards it so swiftly. The question is are people depressed because they are bullied and not excepted for being LGBTQ or is it because this new way of life is damaging. Well, I have the answer and it is much more complicated than that.
The Problem
While both parties struggle with depression, people who only pretend to be LGBTQ (meaning they still act heterosexual) are significantly more mentally ill than those who are legitimate. This tells us something very important. While supposedly both groups would be bullied the same amount, one is significantly more suicidal. This means bullying is disconnected and in fact not the cause of LGBTQ mental illness. Instead, I argue it is caused by quite the opposite. In a society where LGBTQ is so heavily encouraged and celebrated, people are being coaxed into it without actually knowing whether they really are what they claim. This answer explains both of the points I have brought up. It explains why so many more people are LGBTQ and it explains why they struggle so much with mental illness. They are forced into something they are not. The left argues LGBTQ is discouraged and its members are bullied when in actuality it’s so far the opposite that it has become dangerous. As so many more people mutilate their bodies by switching their gender, so many more have regretted what they did.
I attribute most of the mental illness and suicide related to queerness to people who are lying to themselves about their identity. The truth is, in today's day, being gay is the trend and the only way you can achieve the holy victimhood status. This pursuit of victimhood is backed up by the fact that most LGBTQ people are white, a group that isn’t a part of any “victimized” minority. The problem is saying your something that you are not is killing people. It’s no shock that people are feeling depressed after they permanently chopped their penus off. Yet this is what our society is pushing for, all for a more equitable world.
